摘要：

The Guideline for Management of Patients with Ventricular Arrhythmias and the Prevention of Sudden Cardiac Death1 provides comprehensive recommendations for adult patients with ventricular arrhythmias who are at risk for sudden cardiac death on topics including diagnosis, prognostication, pharmacological treatment, device therapy, population-specific issues, and genetic testing and counseling. Guideline-based care for this vulnerable group of patients improves safety and clinical outcomes. This column highlights a sample of these recommendations and provides nurses with information that can be used in clinical practice and in patient and family education. © 2020 American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
