80 Gbit/s OTDM demultiplexer based on polarization rotation and XPM induced wavelength shift in a 1-m Bi2O3 nonlinear fiber

摘要
We experimentally demonstrate the use of a only 1-m long Bi2O3 based nonlinear fiber with a nonlinearity gamma of similar to 1100 W(-1.)km(-1) within an all-fiberized 80 Gbit/s OTDM data demultiplexer based on polarization rotation and XPM induced wavelength shift. Error-free demultiplexing of all 8 channels is readily achieved. (c) 2005 Optical Society of Arnerica.
