EM disruptions in the setting of a prior TKA are potentially devastating injuries. Exclusive primary repair is indicated in only a few limited settings, with reconstruction being the mainstay of treatment. Following the treatment algorithm appropriately increases the likelihood of satisfactory outcomes; however, patients must be counseled on the high complication rates of these procedures.
