摘要
Within a non-mechanized warehouse environment the development of musculoskeletal disorders is an ever present risk. While the introduction of new technology to replace excessive manual manipulation can help workers reduce their strain, a lack of ergonomics understanding and clear goals not just from workers, but from managers as well as industrial engineers, can lead to inadequate solutions. In a business environment that cuts budgets for training programs the present paper presents a low cost easy to use participative ergonomics process that cen be implemented in the warehouse environment of a medium sized manufacturing facility. This will allow the collaborative creation and implementation of the most suitable ergonomic solutions for all workers problems and aid in optimizing the warehouse working environment by creating occupational wellbeing. The presented approach is aligned with an organizations' needs to face the new challenges and goals for sustainable development.
