摘要
Understanding of Electromagnetic circuit for precision movement of linear induction motor play an important role. A high precision motion is needed for positioning of linear motion. The limited factor for generating precision motion is cogging action. For improving the precision of linear motion, especially in very low speed application high performance motor the existence of cogging action due to magnetic conductance of air-gap variation or interactive magnetic edge and end effect variation in a linear induction motor should be reduced as small as possible. This paper investigates existence of cogging action in simple electromagnetic model that can represent a linear induction motor with primary slot opening and variation of primary tooth/slot width in end-region. The analysis will be concerned to magnetic energy variation by supporting the reluctance equivalent network approximation. It shows that variation of magnitude of cogging force can be recognized by using reluctance equivalent network approximation
