摘要
Microalgae Scenedesmus dimorphus, the origin strain from Indonesia was examined to analyze biosorption abilities for the uptake of chromium and cadmium from aqueous solutions. It used Complete Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 varied concentrations: control, 0.1, 1, 2 ppm for Cr (VI) and control, 0.1, 1, 5 ppm for Cd, with 3 replications which each samples was analyzed by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. The results showed that the highest absorption efficiency occured in day 5 on the concentration of Cr (VI) 0.1 ppm which was equal to 94.24% with a cell density of 935,833.3 cells/ml and Cd uptake by 65.91% with a cell density of 363,333.3 cells/ml at concentration 5 ppm. Efficiency of the absorption rate of S. dimorphus to metal Cr (VI) was higher than Cd. So, it can be concluded that microalgae Scenedesmus dimorphus could be chosen as other biosorption agent of heavy metals in polluted waste water.
