摘要：

Complex distributed systems such as CSCW or VE need to integrate the distributed and heterogeneous applications and resources that are dispersive among numbers of departments. CORBA and Agent based architecture 'Federated Services' is designed to meet this requirement. It divides the whole working environment into several groups that are intelligent and autonomous. CORBA is used to combine the services inside the group, so the architecture supports distributed and heterogeneous services; Agent assisted by XML is used to manage the group and group's communication, so the group is autonomous, intelligent and the communication is robust, secure. This architecture is a perfect way to build complex distributed computing systems like CSCW or VE.
