Operational risk is one of the main risks in banking of China. So the commercial banks of China have attached great importance to the management of it through constructing the integrated operational risk management framework. The operational risk management policies, as an important part of the risk management framework in the commercial banks of China, are key factors that influence increasingly the effective management of the operational risk. In this paper, based on qualitative analysis, the connotations of the operational risk management policies of the commercial banks of China have at first been probed into, and then the issues which should be paid more considerations in the processes of the making of the operational risk management policies have been analyzed. In conclusion, we think that the making of the operational risk management policies is an complicated thing to the bank. Only understanding such issues deeply can we formulate operational risk management policies that are appropriate for oneself, can we ensure the strategy of the operational risk management be carried out practically and effectively.
