摘要
With decrease in cost of multimedia capturing and storage devices; amount of multimedia data present on WWW has increased exponentially. Content Based Visual data Retrieval is an ongoing research area for efficient data handling on Internet-scale. This paper presents a Hadoop based image search engine framework for extracting similar images from huge volume of available images. Performance of presented approach is evaluated using various image visual feature extraction methods like Block Truncation Coding, Fuzzy Edge Detection and Local Binary Patterns.
