Comparison study among the models to evaluate the consequence of vapor cloud explosion

摘要
Aiming to evaluate the consequence of vapor cloud explosion (VCE), this paper used five models, i.e. TNT equivalence, TNO model, Multi-energy model, British gas and Shell model, to calculate the overpressure around the explosion area. By comparing with the results conducted from the five model, it is found the TNT equivalence model and TNO model does not suit to assess the consequence of VCE. It was suggested that the Multi-energy model, British Gas model and Shell model be reasonable ways for consequence evaluation of VCE.
