摘要
Salinity maps created from the satellite-retrieved ocean colour identify features in the surface salinity distribution that to date have only been observed by in situ instrumentation in fighting the saltwater intrusion into riverway in Southern China. In latest years, sea water intrusion into Pearl River way occurs earlier and lasts more days, which brings severe drinkable water security problem in Macau, Zhuhai and Zhongshan area, Southern China. China government cannot but takes re-arrangement of reservoir water resources in upriver drainage area. In the meanwhile, the monitoring of PRE salinity becomes one of necessary hydrological parameters for reservoir water runoff management decision. Based on synchronous in situ spectrum measurement and EO-1 Hyperion hyperspectral satellite imaging observation of Pearl River net at Dec 18th,2005, this paper describes a novel method of deriving surface suspended solid(SS) distribution from field spectral correlative hyperion remotely sensed river colour.. In this paper the relationship is demonstrated for the study area(Modaomen and Shawan watercourse), and applied to EO-1 hyperion imagery for the derivation of surface SS. The empirical relationships demonstrated in this study allow the satisfactory prediction of SS in the PRE from Hyperion data. An optimum band was found for estimation of SS concentration was developed. Next, we expect the algorithm is correlated to ALI data for retrieval of SS concentration and salinity in larger area. The ability to obtain synoptic views of SS such as those presented in this paper therefore provides great potential in furthering the understanding of Delta saltwater intrusion dynamics for avoiding saltwater from taking sites.
