An Empirical Study on Entrepreneurial Ability and Enterprises' Innovation in China

The purposes of this paper are to explore the relationship between entrepreneurial ability and enterprises' innovation, and to analyze influence of entrepreneurial ability on enterprises innovation. The study was cross-sectional, and data were collected by means of a postal questionnaire survey mailed to 400 enterprises in China. The survey shows that the source of enterprises' innovation is entrepreneurial ability. New explanations beyond previous literatures are provided to explain the expanding entrepreneurial behaviors by analyzing the characteristics of actions and responses of Chinese enterpreneurs. The author stresses that an enterpriese must effectively focus on improving its innovation ability. Industrial competitors in the market environment can find that entrepreneurial ability is the most internal driving factor for enterprises to obtain strong innovation ability.
