摘要：

Since the beginning of the millenium, significant progress in research of negative symptoms in schizophrenia has been made. A crutial point was the description of two factors that explain all the spectrum of negative symptoms - social amotivation and diminished expression. Their identification lead not only to more intensive research effort, but also to development of new methods for diagnostics of negative symptoms. The aim of this study is to describe both the current state of knowledge and the methods based on it.
