Co2GeO4 nanoplates and nano-octahedrons from low-temperature controlled synthesis and their magnetic properties

摘要
The shape-controlled synthesis of Co2GeO4 nanostructures including nanoplates and nano-octahedrons has been accomplished through facile hydrothermal methods and surfactant templating for the first time. The as-prepared samples were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and X-ray diffractometry (XRD). The experimental results indicate that the amount of alkali and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide both play important roles for the formation of the nanostructures. Moreover, the magnetic properties of Co2GeO4 nanocrystals have been systematically studied. It has been observed that the magnetic properties of Co2GeO4 nanomaterials have a close relationship with their structures.
