摘要
Pulsed laser deposition has been applied for the fabrication of Cd1-xMnxTe nanoparticle in SiO2 matrix composite material. In addition, colloid chemistry methods have been used to prepare Cd1-xMnxS nanoparticle in polyvinylalcohol matrix composite films. Transmission electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy analyses confirmed the nanocrystallinity of both kinds of nanocomposites and allowed an estimate of the average diameter of diluted magnetic semiconductor nanoparticles embedded into SiO2 and polymer matrices. Optical spectra reveal a blue shift in the absorption edge and the exciton structure due to confinement effects in the studied samples. Faraday rotation spectra of the Cd1-xMnx Te/SiO2 composite demonstrate peculiarities, which are associated with both confinement effects and sp-d exchange interactions. In contrast, no enhancement of the Faraday rotation was observed in Cd1-xMnxS/polyvinylalcohol composites. The results obtained suggest that diluted magnetic semiconductor based nanocomposites are promising materials for Faraday effect based magnetic sensors for pulsed high magnetic fields measurements.
