摘要
We are going through a time that is marked by rapid changes, in a developing, very dynamic and interconnected world. The Higher Education system is only one of the systems that face the challenge of understanding its own dynamics as well as the complex interrelationship set among diverse systems of this increasingly complicated world. It also has to find solutions for arising issues and to adopt new development strategies. In this context, by using or enhancing the already existent personal competencies but retrieved by the newest concept of psychology, emotional intelligence could be a proper solution. At its highest level, emotional intelligence creates a state of feelings of overflowing which can be a part of the healthiest way of teaching and learning, motivating students from inside, and not by punishment and/or reward.
