摘要：

Based on Skopos Theory, this paper takes excerpts of Moon New Orleans, a kind of travel guide book published in America, as the translation text. The paper explores the text features of tourism text and then tries to find the translation skills needed for translating travel guide books. The author hopes this translation report can draw people's attention to translations of foreign tourism texts in order to improve translation quality, meet people's need to learn about foreign cultures and customs, and promote cultural exchange between China and other foreign countries.
