摘要
This paper presents a dual-sensor landmine detection system to effectively detect buried landmines. The proposed landmine detector utilizes a ground penetrating radar (GPR) and a metal detector (MD). To increase the detection rate of minimum metal mines and decrease the false alarm rate, a data fusion algorithm is applied in decision level using the each signal processing results of MD and GPR. The proposed landmine detection system is fabricated and tested in comparison with commercial mine detectors. As a results, it has a higher detection rate for minimum metal mines and a lower false alarm rate than commercial mine detectors.
