The impact of the "sports democracy" on the "public Service of sport in Africa and in turn in Cameroon"

This article aims at demonstrating that the art of bringing sports under state control in Africa since independence has undergone many mutations due to the evolution of the world history. Furthermore, none of the actors of the sporting movements can boast about being self-sufficient in managing solely this domain. The roles of the various actors are clearly defined, and specifically in Cameroon by law no 2011/018 of 15 July 2011 on the organization and the promotion of physical education and sports activities and the subsequent laws adopted progressively at the various stages. Thus, we have for example: The management of the national teams from now henceforth pertains almost exclusively to the national sports federations; A national sport federation cannot at the same time be both judge and jury concerning sports disputes (electoral dispute included) within it. It is a matter of conducting a brief analysis of orientations, transformations and evolution of this state control on sports and the antidemocratic methods implemented in Africa in order to draw conclusion on new tendencies that are put in place by African countries.
