摘要
We provided toxicological analytical support for a fatal case of abuse of alpha-pyrrolidinovaleorophenone (alpha-PVP). Solid-phase microextraction (SPME) and capillary gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS) was employed to quantify the drug in whole blood. The whole blood concentration of the drug in the heart was 486 ng/ml. This is the first report of alpha-PVP intoxication as ascertained by mass spectrometric identification of alpha-PVP in whole blood.
