摘要
Utilising multiple regression analysis of the cross-sectional data on sterilisation rates, iud rates, c.c. users rates and oral pills users acceptance rates and related socio-economic variables hypothesized to influence them pertaining to 30 districts of the state of Rajasthan. This study seeks to understand factors influencing the programmes acceptance in the state. It has been observed that total literacy has played an important role in affecting the variation in sterilisation acceptance rules while the centres and sub centres emerged the most important variable for affecting the variation in iud and oral pills users in the districts of Rajasthan. Further, the percentage of Non-Muslims population' has also played a significant role in affecting the variation in iud and oral pills users. The percentage of urban population has also played a key role in affecting the variation in iud users. Thus, the socio-economic variables seem to have played important role in affecting the method wise family planning performance in various districts of Rajasthan. The influence of these socio-economic factors on the different. methods of family planning acceptance could help the health managers, social scientists and policy makers to identify areas that required more interventions. It could also help the government of Rajasthan to control the population through implementing various schemes that have been followed in the state to devise more effective strategies.
