Kinetics of carbon oxidation in carbon-bearing refractories

摘要
Non-isothermal kinetic research has been carried out on the oxidation behavior of carbon in oxide-carbon material at high temperature. A kinetic model was established for simulating non-isothermal process of carbon oxidation. The rate controlling steps of initial stage of decarbonization and the corresponding activation energies have been determined to be chemical reaction control with E-c of 136 kJ/mol at a temperature range of 480 similar to 580 degrees C and diffusion control with E-D of 147 kJ/mol at a temperature range of 570 similar to 650 degrees C, respectively.
