摘要
In this paper, a modified single-phase Gamma-Z-Source converter is proposed. The proposed converter, like other single-phase Z-source converters, has the capability of boost non-inverting, buck inverting and shared ground. Also, due to eliminating output filter the converter volume and size is reduced. The safe commutation method is employed to protect switches against voltage and current overshoots without using any snubber circuit. In order to produce high voltage gain a coupled inductor is used. Therefore, in addition to the duty cycle, the voltage gain can be controlled by the coupled inductor turn ratio. In the gamma structure, by reducing the coupled inductor turn ratio, can be achieved greater voltage gain which this feature reduces the coupled inductor winding costs. The proposed converter is analyzed in different operation modes and simulation results are presented in PSCAD software to validation of the calculated relationships and its performance.
