摘要
This paper presents an overview of applying software engineering concepts in development of software for use in deregulated power markets. An overview of power system deregulation is presented and the importance of software requirements management and software testing, in particular, in the development of power systems software is underlined. Practices adopted presently for the purpose are enumerated. Sample illustrations for managing power software requirements and enhancing testing practices to improve software quality are also presented. Challenging issues related to power system software are briefly outlined.
