摘要
A Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) loaded with a Metasurface (MS) lens is proposed in this paper. The proposed Metasurface lens is optimally placed at a height of lambda/2 from a microstrip fed narrowband Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) consisting of a rectangular dielectric block of size 17x17x4.2 mm(3) and epsilon(r) = 18. Both standalone DRA and DRA loaded with metasurface lens are designed and simulated in HFSS-15. The simulated results reveals a significantly higher gain (9.90 dBi) for the MS loaded DRA over the standalone DRA (5.86 dBi).
