摘要
Rod, platelet and ellipsoidal nanostructures of BaFe12O19 have been synthesized by the Pechini method followed by heat treatment. The produced samples were heat treated at 900 degrees C for different hours and characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, Mossbauer spectroscopy and vibrating sample magnetometry. The results showed that the particle size and morphology vary with the time of heat treatment. The samples consisting of nanoparticles with different morphologies exhibited plateaus in the magnetic hysteresis loops. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
