摘要
In this work, tension and torsion properties of Ti-5Al-5Mo-5V-3Cr-1Zr (Ti-55531) alloy with lamellar microstructure (LM) and bimodal microstructure (BM) were studied at room temperature. LM and BM of Ti-55531 alloy were characterized using transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and image analysis software. The deformation mechanisms of LM and BM were systematically investigated by observing dislocation structures of the plastic deformation region. Fracture mechanisms of the alloy were analysed by carefully observing fracture surface and cross sectional microstructure.
