摘要
In this paper, we propose a concept of wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) system using microring resonator radius variation method. The free spectral range is used to analyze the characteristics of the microring resonator where an increase in ring radius will decrease the FSR value. Consequently, the design concept of this WDM system is justified using the simulation results. The number of channels that can be incorporated is approximately 52 channels with 0.8nm spacing for a reference ring resonator of 1.05 mu m radius.
