摘要
The paper Shows apart of the research results, which are completed by the authors, about the physics of cohesive sediment in the marine environment from a hydrodynamic and soil mechanical vies. One of the main results is a relationship established between flux Richardson number (Ri(f)) and sediment concentration wiht flow velocity as a parameter A critical Richardson number is used to divide the flow conditions into three regimes, i.e., high concentration sub - saturated suspension regime, a hyper - concentration suspension regime and a super - saturated regime. On this basis, the authors in vestigate the features of sediment transport and flaw such as river clogging, and consolidation. The results are of great implications in river dynammics, for example, it justify that it is possible for a Oven flow to have two capacities for sediment transport at high concentration and hyper concentration.
