摘要
The aim of the publication is to present the evolution of the EU's agricultural policy and to indicate the role of food security as one of the most important its determinants. The need to maintain food security has many reasons, including especially the development of globalization. A particularly important factor, tightly coupled with the concept of food security, is the issue of quality and health of food products. The escalation of the problem of food contamination and its counterfeiting make the European Union members' cooperation under the RASFF very important. It is a tool for information exchange within the Community and for elimination of sources of risks to human health, associated with consumption of hazardous products. In the context of changes in the world economy, intensification of global phenomena and increasing challenges for humanity, the role of CAP appears to be significant not only for the development of agriculture and rural areas, but also for maintaining food security.
