摘要
Power quality is a very important criterion in supplying electric railways since it affects the efficiency of these systems. This paper presents a systematic approach to estimate effect of harmonic distortion in supplying AC electric railway traction, which incorporates a novel directional track shift method to deal with the train. On the basis of the united model, the transfer characteristics of harmonic currents and voltages are simulated, the harmonic distortion of voltages and currents in the power supply system are calculated. Using the actual data, the effects of harmonics on distribution transformers are analyzed.
