Severe and long-lasting hypotension occuring immediately after parathyroidectomy in hypertensive hemodialysis patients: a case series

摘要：
Secondary hyperparathyroidism of hemodialysis patients is associated with hypertension. Parathyroidectomy might cause a mild and gradual decrease in blood pressure. We describe a case series of severe and long-lasting hypotension starting immediately after parathyroidectomy, possibly related to resetting of intracellular calcium levels and attenuation of the vascular response to calcium.
