摘要
This paper presents a model for estimating road traffic noise in urban areas; the model was calibrated in the city of Benevento and can be considered valid for medium-size urban areas. The model was applied to evaluate the general level of traffic noise in the city, proposing a procedure based on the distance of buildings from the roadside required for compliance with legally established noise limits. The procedure was tested on the Benevento network.
