摘要
A review and classification of a wide number of investigations on the teaching and learning of early reading are presented in the paper, The studies selected followed Hero criteria that they focused on the early stages of reading instruction as well as on the characteristic of teachers' methodological approaches. Research work investigating ivy diverse aspects of teaching and learning to read were identified as a function of the elements of the instructional situation on which they focus, the methodology they use, and the paradigm or psychological theory used as framework. These studies were organised attending to their partial or global approach to the practice of teaching to read. This classification enabled its to put forth different conclusions on the scope and limitations of these studies.
