INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE IN FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATION SYSTEM

Purpose - Consider conceptual approaches to the development of theoretical and methodological foundations of the formation of a national innovation system of the Republic of Kazakhstan and formulated practical recommendations and proposals for its establishment. Methodology - Analytical study of published literature and internal annual reports combined with personal experience of working with products and observing its strategies for more than a decade have been the essential part of this study. Originality/value - The paper explains the concept of innovation systems. The paper discusses conceptual approaches to the development of theoretical and methodological foundations of the national innovation system. Findings - We present the author's position regarding the definition of objectives, structure and orientation of the formation and development of the innovation system in terms of its impact on the sustainability of economic growth, improving the competitiveness of the country. We formulate a set of practical recommendations and proposals to create the national innovation system of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
