摘要
A self-sustaining technology improvement programme in a topical and high-tech area (like Pollution Control) requires an integrated approach in its management essentially because of the twin objectives of business and science. It also calls for concepts to compete effectively in the market place based on a strategic plan facilitating the technology developer to learn to integrate technology with business practices. Competitive advantages have to be built into the technology management practices focussing on the interactions of technology, business and marketing strategies and organizational aspects. Technology choices and capabilities have then to be linked to marketing requirement and institutional context in terms of local factors like skills, information access and user/collaborative linkages. All this brings into focus the need for a methodology to integrate business with technology strategies.
