摘要
In conventional system, available spectrum is used inefficiently. Due to the limited available spectrum and inefficient utilization of spectrum, a new communication paradigm called CognitiveRadio(CR)havebeenintroducedtoexploittheexisting wireless spectrum opportunistically. The objective of CR is to use the available spectrum efficiently without any interference to the Primary Users (PUs). Spectrum sensing plays an essential part in CR networks inorder to obtain spectrum awareness. Energy detection, matched filter detection, cyclostationary detection are the most commonly used techniques for spectrum sensing. In this paper, a survey of traditional spectrum sensing methods alongwithseveraldiversityenhancingtechniqueslikecooperative spectrum sensing, compressive sensing, and wavelet transform sensing are included.
