Synthesis, crystal structure and antimicrobial activities of a novel Schiff base zinc(II) complex

摘要
A novel dinuclear Schiff base zinc(II) complex, [Zn2L2(NCS)(4)], derived from the Schiff base ligand 4-bromo-2-[(3- dimethylaminopropylimino)methyl]phenol (L), has been synthesized, structural characterized and evaluated for its antimicrobial activities. Each zinc ion in the complex is five-coordinate in a distorted square pyramidal geometry. The complex showed potent antimicrobial activities.
