摘要
A Multitude of resources are readily available on the web and can be used for meaningful educational purposes. Engagement with some of the latest Web 2.0 technologies can be carried out to create collaborative resources based on the collective experiences of student learners. Social bookmarking, as a rapidly growing part of the Internet has enormous potential given that our Student Populations are actively engaging with it in many other ways. Some interesting results have been obtained from proactive online activity initiated by the teacher. This paper is looking from the perspective of the teacher and examines the extent to which students are prepared to engage with these tools and activities to enhance their studies. Outcomes will be highlighted from some initiatives Such as a weekly 'Tutor News' message incorporating a personal blog, Social Bookmarking and Photo Sharing, and podcasts for assignment feedback. Inquiry into the use of email and social bookmarking tools to develop communities of practice suggests that the social aspects on online behaviour, may not be as controllable as we Would like. However, it is possible to embrace new technologies to support existing pedagogy without having to re-invent the wheel.
