摘要
Both fiber reinforced composites and sandwich composites using fiber panel and foam or balsa wood core material can not only reach the ideal structural performance( strength, stiffness, fatigue and impact toughness, etc), but also have the features of light, corrosion resistant, electromagnetic shielding and so on. Fiber reinforced composites can be used partly instead of steel and concrete in producing structural components in order to improve the structural performance and using effect of buildings, bridges, military facilities, vehicles, ships and so forth. A lot of researches and practice were carried out in related domestic and foreign research and engineering units. This paper introduces common structural form and molding process and elaborates the use of composites in pavement engineering, ocean structure engineering, and anticollision, etc. meanwhile, this paper discusses the development in experiment and design method of fiber reinforced composites and its trend in structural engineering in hopes of more researches and applications in structural engineering of composites will be carried out in China.
