摘要
Mesoporous silica has been considered as fillers to elaborate nanocomposites polymer-silica. The organic part of conventional dental resin mixed with mesoporous silica, has been photopolymerized using visible irradiation and camphorquinone as an initiator. The porosity filling has been followed using differential scanning calorimetry, X-ray diffraction, nitrogen adsorption/desorption isotherms, scanning electronic microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), helium density measurements. The silica porous volume is completely filled with the dental resin and composites can be obtained when silica weight fraction is below 25%. Thermo-mechanical analyses have been performed showing a thermal dilatation coefficient around 80 . 10(-6) degrees C-1. (C) 2013 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
