Overview of tropospheric ozone in the Lower Fraser Valley, and the Pacific '93 field study

This paper provides an overview of ozone pollution in the Lower Fraser Valley, and summarizes a large, multi-agency held study of that problem. The paper provides a context and general background for the 12 papers in this special issue, and serves to provide a general. environmental context for their more detailed reports. In addition, we summarize the major findings of all papers in this collection. While most of the findings are significant additions to our knowledge of ozone pollution in the region, the most notable findings relate to the great importance of biogenically emitted volatile organic compounds as ozone precursors in this region.
