摘要：

This presentation summarizes some morphological aspects from a series of studies on systemic hypothermic treatment of experimental spinal cord injury. Morphological changes in the spinal cord were analyzed with immunohistochemistry 24h after severe experimental spinal cord injury in the rat. Twenty min of moderate systemic hypothermia reduced dendrite changes, edema formation, glial activation, and axonal swelling in the spinal cord areas adjacent to the trauma zone.
