摘要：
Chronic wasting disease, a prion disease of cervids, may infect humans, but this is unproven. Primates from 2 genera were observed for 9-10 years after intracerebral or oral inoculation. Cynomologus macaques were completely resistant. However, squirrel monkeys were highly susceptible to the pathogen, which adapted more quickly on second passage.
