Cerebral herniation through a subdural membrane defect following non-accidental injury

摘要：

A baby boy developed large bilateral subdural haematomata following non-accidental injury. Imaging subsequently demonstrated development of ischaemic and atrophic changes with subdural membrane formation. One year post-trauma, imaging revealed focal hernation of cerebral tissue through a subdural membrane. We believe that this is the first recorded case of such a finding following non-accidental injury.
