Low-lying states of the biexciton in a disk-like quantum dot

摘要
The Hamiltonian of a biexciton in a two-dimension quantum dot with parabolic confinement has been diagonalized to obtain the low-lying eigenenergy values as a function of the electron-to-hole effective mass ratio and the dot size. We iind that a biexciton in a quantum dot may have more than one bound states. This fact may help a better understanding of their binding mechanism. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
