摘要
Steel-concrete composite structures that share the advantages of both steel and concrete are more efficient for high-rise buildings. The mega frame-core tube-outrigger system like Shanghai Tower is one of the most commonly adopted structural system in China and buildings of significant structural irregularities are also widely used in recent engineering practices. Their dynamic response behaviors and seismic performances are usually quite different from the conventional structural systems. This paper presents the progress on the recent developments of steel-concrete composite structures though a number of engineering examples. Attentions are mainly focused on the innovative structural system and its newly employed structural components. Numerical results of pushover analysis as well as elasto-plastic time-history analysis are also provided briefly to demonstrate their excellent performance to strong earthquakes.
