摘要
While developing a communications receiver, the author encountered a problem that was efficiently solved using a method called slope filtering, which is a novel application of the standard equations of linear regression. This article introduces the slope filtering process and its effective use in applications such as communications receiver carrier recovery, signal rate of change estimation, and signal transition and transition-polarity detection. © 2008 IEEE.
