Process changes and corrosion in the bleaching plant

Materials selection for bleaching plants has become a challenge because of the introduction of new bleaching chemicals and closed-cycle operation. New process conditions have created neu, corrosion conditions and sometimes unexpected failures. In corrosion studies, field tests have become just as important as laboratory tests. In-line monitoring of process and material conditions may be one future fool in selecting optimum materials.
