Molecular complexes of fullerenes C(60) and C(70) With organic donors of different classes were synthesized. These complexes were studied by IR-, optical and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopies. The IR spectra of single crystals show the splitting of the F(1u)(4) C(60) mode into two bands due to the lowering of I(h) symmetry of the C(60) molecule in some complexes. The estimation of the charge transfer (CT) degree shows only weak CT (<0.05). Steric conditions for CT and Van der Waals interaction in fullerene complexes are discussed. Crystal structures of some complexes are presented. The structure of the obtained compounds enables the doping by iodine, which results in the formation of triple systems, D(m)(C(60))(n)X(y), where D is a donor, X is a dopant molecule. The changes in C(60) and donor electron systems caused by doping are discussed. The similar triple system C(60) (BEDT-TTF . I(3)) obtained by direct chemical synthesis from solution is presented.
